The MidiMuse app
- Nothing collected. The app collects no personal data and sends nothing to us or to third parties. There’s no account, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting service.
- On your device. The MIDI tools run entirely on your iPhone or Mac, with no cloud service, AI provider or internet connection.
- Your sketches. Captured MIDI notes, takes and settings are stored on your device. You can delete them in the app.
- iCloud sync (optional). If you turn it on, your sketches and takes sync between your iPhone and Mac through iCloud. They’re stored in your private iCloud storage, linked to your Apple ID, and we can’t access them. Apple provides this service under its own privacy policy. The legal basis is your consent by turning sync on (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can turn it off at any time in the app or in your device’s iCloud settings, where you can also delete the stored data. With sync off, everything stays on the device.
- Imported files. MIDI files you import are read on your device and saved as sketches. The original file isn’t changed.
- MIDI and Bluetooth. The app sends and receives MIDI notes over USB or Bluetooth with devices you choose. The system asks your permission before Bluetooth is used. The app doesn’t use the microphone or record audio.
- Export. When you export a MIDI file, you decide where it goes through the system share sheet.
- Crash reports. If you’ve agreed in your system settings, Apple may share anonymised crash and diagnostic reports with us as the developer. You control this under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
- Purchases. Buying and downloading run through Apple’s App Store. We never see your payment details.
